Getting started with Adobe Flex
SAP depends on Adobe Flex to extend the features and capabilities of rich internet technologies to SAP applications. By integrating the Adobe Flash platform in to WebDynpro (the user interface framework of SAP NetWeaver) developers can provide a very new user experience like increased usability and adoption of business applications.
Integrating Adobe Flex in WebDynpro
Adobe Flex is used to generate the Flash SWF file, which contains the user interface component for the NetWeaver. The integrated SWF file to the WebDynpro component can then interact with other WebDynpro components by data exchange and events. The integrated SWF file is called Rich Island which will be rendered in the browser using the Adobe Flash Player.
