The ceramic, textile, synthetic fibre and leather industries, as well as manufacturers of cosmetics and cleaning products and other special applications all over the world, rely on the company’s developments.
During the despatch of goods there is several critical information required that is crucial in planning the logistics of the goods. This information is about the classification of goods, the handling they need and other important parameters that determine their transportation.
This information is usually located at different levels and different locations within SAP.
To standardize the interfaces and streamline the flow of data to external parties the Business wanted to redesign and replace the complex custom solutions by a more standard way of data exchange.
Our team has enhanced the Freight Order document to pull the important parameters from the Material master, especially the parameters that determine the Transportation mechanism for the goods contained in the Order.
The data is collected at a single point and transferred to the logistics provider in a single XML format instead of having to rely on multiple sources of information to extract the required data
